Corfu Airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias” (CFU) is squeezed onto a strip of land between Corfu Town and the Chalikiopoulou lagoon, only 3 km south of the old town. The runway sticks out into the lagoon on a causeway, which is why landing here, past the Kanoni peninsula and the little Mouse Island monastery, is one of the more photographed approaches in Europe. It handles around four million passengers a year, almost all between April and October.
Fraport Greece has run the airport since 2017 and extended the terminal, but it remains a single building with arrivals and departures on one level and a forecourt that is a short walk from the bus stop and the car park. The name honours Ioannis Kapodistrias, the Corfiot who became the first head of state of modern Greece.
Corfu Town is only 3 km away: about €15 by taxi or €1.70 on the blue bus 15. The resorts are spread along 60 km of coast, from Kavos in the far south (about €70) to Sidari in the north (about €60), so most visitors pre-book a transfer.

Yes, blue bus 15 runs every 30–45 minutes in season from beside arrivals to San Rocco square and the port for €1.70. The green KTEL buses to the resorts leave from the station by the new port, not from the airport.
The new port is ten minutes away: about €15 by taxi, or bus 15, which continues there from San Rocco. Paxos boats leave from the new port and, in summer, some from the old port; check your ticket.
A taxi costs about €50 and takes 35–45 minutes across the island. The green KTEL bus runs there several times a day from the station by the new port, a taxi or bus 15 ride from the airport.
